RockyMounts TieRod leaks ground breaking results for bike racks. The TieRod is a sleek form fitting bike rack for the factory set. Its rubber coated stainless steel straps fits elliptical shaped crossbars like a glove. The TieRod is a heavy duty fork mount with front wheel quick release and holds skinny road tires up to wide load mountain bike tires. Fits disc and standard brake systems and comes with a lockable quick release. Lock rack to car and bike to rack with RockyMounts locks, sold separately.

Will my bike fork fit?
If you bike has a quick release front wheel, yes.
Will it fit my car rack?
The TieRod fits all factory crossbars as well as Thule® and Yakima® cross bars.

How long is the tray?
The tray is 45" long and includes an end cap. If you are concerned about it hitting your hatchback when it opens, you will need 50" from the center of the front crossbar to the rear of the tray.
What colors do they come in?
The PitchFork comes in 9 different colors: Black, Silver, Red, Orange, Yellow, White, Blue, Green and Pink. The Black and Silver trays are anodized. The rest of the colors are powdercoated.
Is there a weight limit?
Yes, there is a 35lb weight limit. Do not try to mount your moped.
Will my thru-axle fork fit?
Not out of the box. You would need to purchase the RockyMounts DriveShaft adapter as an accessory, or purchase a RockyMounts JawBridge and leave the front wheel on.
Is there anything else I need to buy?
Everything you will need to mount your rack and carry your bike comes in the box. However, locks are sold separately so you can key all your RockyMounts products alike.
How many locks do I need?
For maximum security it is recommended to purchase (2) locks per PitchFork. (1) To lock the tray to the car and (1) to lock the bike to the tray.
Will it hold my Road and Mountain Bike?
Yes, the TieRod securely holds both Road and Mountain bikes.
Will it accommodate my disc brakes?
Yes the TieRod has a disc brake cut-out to accommodate all disc brakes.
What type of maintenance is required?
It is recommended that you lubricate the quick release once a year. Chain oil works well and the quick release will just need a couple drops on the cam.
What is the difference in the TieRod and the TieRod Stretch?
The TieRod Stretch is for Recumbents, Xtracycle, & Elliptigo bicycles only.
What size tire will fit? The PitchFork will fit skinny road tires up to 2.7†mountain bike tires.
