Allows clearance for your disc brakes

At Rocky Mounts, we think a good product means not having to buy a feature you don’t need, but still having flexibility if your needs change. This is why our Lariat and Noose bike racks feature a modular design that allows you to use the Disc Brake Adapter when you need it.

On some disc brake equipped bikes (about 25%), the disc caliper (the brake mechanism bolted to the fork leg) can hit the tray while loading and not allow the fork dropouts to reach the quick release. To solve this problem you’ll need the Disc Brake Adapter. It allows the additional clearance your disc brake may require, quickly and cleanly bolts into place between the head and the tray.

This will NOT prevent non disc brake equipped bikes from working!
